I really enjoy the versatility of pastel colours. The pastel shades are so easy to match with other pastel colours and even bright hues. For this look, I paired a peach blazer with mint green pants. I like the way the colours compliment each other. I found the shirt in my mom’s closet, and I love the sketch on it the most and how it works with the outfit. I got the purse during a shopping splurge a few months ago, I really adore the details on it. Enjoy!

Our spring weather (yes! we finally got one day of sun to shoot this) inspired me to wear these pretty pastel colors. Pastel shades seems to be the trend for this spring and summer’s catwalk. So, I paired some H&M tangerine capri trousers with a hot pink knit midriff sweater. I love this trend because the colors are so pretty and appropriate for the season. Looking forward to more sunny days.

Last weekend I celebrated my birthday at Andco which is a restaurant/lounge close to where I live. I had a blast celebrating my birthday with my loved ones and it was very memorable. My beautiful and delicious cake was made by Tasty Couture Cakes and it was amazing! A special thank you to Karen for the cake. I wore a dress my mom had purchased for me from Armani Exchange, with my favourite nude pumps I got in Atlanta. Rae wore a dress from BEBE, and shoes from Bakers.

Ever go shopping and see the last of an item, and you don’t care the size, you just know you have to get it? I was out shopping the other day in H&M and saw this mint green shirt, the last in the store and knew I had to have it. Although it’s a size 8 and fits baggy on me, I’ve always been a fan of loosely fit shirts, so it’s perfect for me! I wore it with my favourite leather skirt from Forever 21, and my jeans vest which I decorated with studs myself! I also decided to try the ombre effect on my hair, I’m considering to do it more dramatic in the next week. I received the shoes as a gift for my birthday, and I really like the colour scheme, I’m looking forward to wearing these more! Enjoy!
With the warmer weather finally settling in, it’s finally time to tuck away your heavy winter clothing for good and start preparing for the spring and summer season. This list of our top five must haves can be your shopping guide for the spring and summer. I used H&M’s online dressing room (so much fun!) to create different looks to match the popular trends of the season. Enjoy!
1. BOLD COLOURS
One of the best ways to introduce spring and summer to your wardrobe is by sprucing it up with some colour. Take risks! Colour block with bold coloured denim and shirts or purchase a coloured trench coat to accentuate every outfit. Another idea is to play with colour using a bold coloured accessory choice!

2. PRETTY PASTELS
Pastel pinks, greens, blues and other pastel hues are in this season! You can incorporate pastel solid colours into your wardrobe with accessories or beautifully coloured denim and sheer blouses.

3. PRINTS
A basic necessity for spring and summer is a printed dress. Whether its floral or tribal print, it’s a good idea to hang on to a printed statement piece. Printed pants are definitely an ideal piece for these seasons and are becoming a popular trend. Many stores have also began to sell asymmetrical hemline skirts in tribal and floral prints, which is a great way of combining two trends.

4. NEUTRALS.
A lovely way to top off any outfit is with a pair of fabulous nude pumps. They match almost every outfit, and accentuate bright colours, pastel colours and even prints! It’s also great to wear an all-white outfit and accentuate it with neutral toned pumps or purse!

5. GET SHEER!
Sheer blouses compliment those pretty pastels, prints and bold colours. Try combining a sheer pastel coloured blouse and coloured denim as a great spring/summer look. They also bring an elegant feel to outfits.
THE VISUAL: At www.hm.com I created a look which again proves the essentiality of nude pumps! They compliment the turquoise skirt and sheer blouse and complete the beautiful ensemble. Garcelle Beauvais also wears a yellow toned sheer blouse with a dramatic colour-blocking outfit.
Kim Kardashian was recently photographed out wearing this colourful ensemble. I found the same look for a fraction of the cost and wanted to share how you can achieve this look for less! I really enjoy the colour blocking in this outfit, which was accented by nude colours. The nude purse and shoes compliment the bright colours very well. It was so sunny outside during the day.. It put me in a great mood, and I wanted to wear something bright and playful for a shopping trip. I threw on a yellow tank, and my printed skirt from XXI with wedged sandals from ALDO. I also wore gold spike earrings which are available from our new online store www.HAUTESEVEN.com. The spiked bracelet is also coming soon to the store, so look out for them! The bag, which I absolutely adore, is from Winners, and Rae actually purchased it as a gift for me. (hehe) I love everything about this bag, and you will DEFINITELY be seeing more of it. So here it is, my look for the day.
I snapped a few photos prior to an engagement out with my friends. I’m in love with colourful skirts, and I decided to wear the light orange skirt I recently purchased from Urban Planet with a jeans corset I found in my closet from XXI. The shoes are from Chinese Laundry, I found the different details on the shoes very eye-catching. I finished my outfit with hoop earrings available at our new online store HAUTESEVEN.
